About our Society

The Hungarian Mycological Society was founded in 1992 as the  successor of the previous Mycological and Wood Protection Section of the Hungarian Society of Forestry. The aim of the Society is to serve Hungarian mycological research and education. We give popular information about biological, medicinal and environmental aspects of fungi, train mushroom experts and support nature protection of mushrooms
